Barron's Defense is Adding Value…

Barron Industries was recently featured in the January 2012 issue of Modern Casting.

The article highlighted Barron’s vertical integration and investment in technology.

At the start of 2008, Barron Industries’ production was 95% steel and 5% aluminum.  A defense industry OEM approached Barron with an opportunity to produce large aluminum electrical boxes. To accommodate the aluminum casting work for the defense industry Barron Industries won in 2008, the company installed furnaces, heat treat ovens, cut-off, handling and compressions straightening equipment.  It also upgraded its testing department, adding digital x-ray equipment, replacing a small dye penetrant line with a larger one and hiring and individual certified in non-destructive testing to oversee the department.
